Concept Explanation

Volume of Prism

Prism is a three-dimensional solid object in which the two ends are exactly of the same shape and size. It is the combination of the flat faces, identical bases and same cross-sections.

  • The formula for the Volume of a Prism is V = Base Area x Height.
  • To calculate the Volume of a Triangular Prism, measure the width and height of a triangular base.

Find the Base Area = large frac{1}{2}times basetimes height.  Next, measure the height of the triangular prism and multiply this by the triangle's area to get the volume.
